Welcome to the website of the Burbank Fire Fighters, Local No. 778. Our organization has been affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) since 1943. We have been a part of the California Professional Firefighters (formerly Federated Fire Fighters of California) since 1949.

Local No. 778 represents its approximate 120 active and 90 retired members. As the recognized bargaining unit, we negotiate all wages, hours and working conditions for "sworn" personnel employed by the City of Burbank, CA Fire Department.

We are very involved in the community, both politically and working with various charitable organizations. Our two principle charities are the Muscular Dystrophy Association and QUEST. We also regularly assist the Burbank Boys & Girls Club, Burbank Family Services Agency and the Burbank Center for the Retarded. We also contribute to various scholastic & athletic programs here in Burbank, Burbank Temporary Aid Center, and the Relay for Life.
